Ryan Derdall
President & Electronics Magician
With a career in the industry dating back to 2003, Ryan has built his business and experience around one simple philosophy: the right solution for the right people.
In 2015, Ryan took the next step in his career by purchasing Mountain Technologies from the previous owner, Kent Giebelhaus. With an education in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), strong customer relationships, and a passion for technology, Ryan has brought these strengths to the forefront of every project.

Known for his extensive knowledge of technology and control systems, Ryan takes a careful and thoughtful approach to every project, understanding that the client's wants and needs come first. Whether it is a full new-home build encompassing custom A/V, security, and camera surveillance, or a simple media room upgrade, Ryan takes the time to find the right solution.

One of his greatest strengths is his technical knowledge and passion for technology. He is particularly passionate about designing, developing, and deploying home theatres, where he can combine technology, performance, and creativity to create a custom experience for the end user.

Technology, however, is only part of what drives him. Building lasting relationships with clients is equally important. Ryan believes a good business is built on trust, communication, and doing what is right for the customer, not simply selling the latest product.

Kaden
Electronic Systems Technician
Kaden joined Mountain Technologies in early 2024, and is our lead Electronic Systems Technician. Kaden came from an industry that gained him experience in irrigation automation and has quickly adapted his skills to thrive in the Custom A/V and Security industry.
Kaden embodies Mountain Technologies' philosophy of providing our customers with the best experience possible, and was the first employee to break Ryan's 96 month long Employee-of-the-Month streak. Â
Megi
Administrator & Bookkeeper
Megi became a member of our Mountain Technologies team at the start of 2026, and is central to our team's operation. Acting as Office Administrator and Bookkeeper, Megi is both the person answering the phone calls and the person keeping Ryan accountable!
Megi comes from the restaurant industry, with prior experience in Nursing as well and that combination of experience makes Megi the most incredible Administrator. Megi has had a tremendously positive impact on our team in the short time that she's been here for, and if you ever get the chance to speak with her on the phone, you'll understand why.
